Fuel Queue
Good morning! !! I know a lot of folks are either still sleeping or awake for various reasons. For me am awake and fully awake to go in search of fuel.
I got to the fuel station at 4:30am and queue is so so long and wondering if the all the people I met on the queue came this morning like me or if they slept at the fuel station. I get scared with the thoughts of waiting on end for my turn but I realised I don't have a choice but to join the queue because my fuel has gone to a point it can drop me any where on the road if I attempt to go in search of the next available fuel station.
Here I was on the queue thinking about my country Nigeria, with four refineries and abundant crude oil and yet we cry for the finished product. The pain one goes through to get your tank filled only to discover you hand spent quality time waiting for so long to get what ordinarily should be a drive in and out in less than no time. Our leaders are not considerate and do not feel the pains because they do not have to queue for fuel. How their cars are fueled is not part of what they think about.
It's 5:37 am and am not any were close to the gate of the fuel station. I begin to wonder how those who have to go work cope with coming out this early in search of fuel and meeting up with resuming work at the right time and their employers having to issue them queries for coming late to work. You can imagine all the troubles you have to go through with these fuel queues.
What more can I say about the fuel wahala!
