Maidunama Sickle Cell Foundation (MAISCEF) Presents Managing Transition of Sickle Cell Patients from Pediatric to Adolescence.

AS + AS= AS And SS Children, this is a Bad combination and should not be encouraged.                                                     SS + AS = Mostly SS kids, this is a bad combination and should be totally avoided.                                                                                 AS + AA = AS and AA children, this should be highly encouraged.                                                                                                      AA + SS this the best combination and should be highly encouraged.  🏼🏽                                                                                     One out of Every four Nigerian is either AS or SS Genotype! If your Genotype is SS you have Sickle cell Disorder locally known as a Sickler,If your Genotype is AS u have the Sickle cell trait and you are known as a carrier. If Your Genotype is AA u don't have the Sickle cell trait and u are free to marry a person with any of  the said type of Genotype. Sickle cell disorder is 100% preventable , it is in this light that Maidunama Sickle Cell Foundation (MAISCEF) in Collaboration with Nasarawa state students Association (NASSA) will be at the various higher institutions in the State to sensitize  , educate and provide, genotype test to the students. Kindly support us as we undertake this Campaign to help break the sickle cell cycle. First point of Duty will be   College of Education Akwanga, Nasarawa State  Nigera
