GET KNOWLEDGE
You will only accomplish little if you have not been educated in the area of business you are venturing into. Not only will you be cheated by those who know than you but you may never get to your aspired place. Note that to be educated does not mean that you must be a university graduate but there are many vocational training and higher institutions alternative you could opt for. Ignorance will cause you to lose money if not the entire business. There are also many business seminars you can attend to be trained. Being a graduate is no guarantee that you will be a successful entrepreneur. You have to mingle with those of like minds to be challenged to aspire.
PASSIONATE
Those who succeed well are those who do not just love what they do but are obsessed or happy and enjoy what they do. If you do not appreciate that which you have nobody will do that for you. Passion is the engine that lubricates r drives the wheel of your business vehicle to keep moving in spite of challenges.
ACCEPT GENUINE AND CRITICAL ADVICE
Do not disregard good advice as an entrepreneur. If you want to succeed in your business see criticism as advice rather than being discouraged by it. Associate with the right kind of people. The right people will help you get to where you are going faster than you can imagine.
DETERMINATION
Determination gives you the resolve to keep going in spite of the roadblocks that are before you. Purpose is also defeated when not backed with determination.
BE PRUDENT WITH TIME
Time is valuable and many people spend time in business that are not rewarding, at the end they would discover that they have spent a life time doing the wrong thing. True time is money and the way you spend your time will determine how well and how much you going to make in business. You should know that every one of your minute should have its value.
PERSISTENCE
Successful entrepreneurs are very persistence. They keep moving, they make mistakes but they do not quit. This is simply the lifestyle of good or effective entrepreneurs. It may not be easy starting out a business but good entrepreneurs are very persistent, they take challenges and believe they will succeed.
COURAGE
For you to succeed in business you must be willing to do what others cannot and must have courage to do it. Perception and the ability to see what would happen tomorrow and take action today is critical as courage is not enough.
You also have to be loyal to yourself because loyalty comes before courage and followed by perception. Be loyal to what you are doing, be courageous to what you are doing and you must also love what you are doing. If these three qualities are missing, there is no way one can eliminate shadow.
FORESIGHT
This is just more than seeing what others are not able to see. It means perceiving and taking the advantage ahead of others and this is very important. Some times what you are doing may not last long, you must see it today and quicl;y diversify and you have to see ahead of time. If the people in some government ministry that are closed down knew that, some of them would probably not be out of work today, they would have prepared for it. So having foresight is anticipating and taking action before a circumstance occurs. What makes you a successful entrepreneur is your ability to have eyes for opportunities.
READ WIDE
People should know that there is a great benefit of investing in books. You will not make much difference in business if you do not read to know how other people made it in business. Many people fail in business because the principles they should have learnt by merely reading books are neglected.
BE FOCUSED
In whatever thing a man does in life, he needs to be focused and be determined. Furthermore, intellectual capacity is the key to transformation. You may have many distractions on the way to your success just be FOCUSED.
Wherever a problem persists in any place, it is because the man or woman God has endowed with the requisite talent to solve the problem has refused to act. Until such an individual begins to act his or her break-through in life will remain a mirage. To be an entrepreneur you must train yourself in the act of identifying problems in any place that you find yourself and try to provide solutions to such problem.
