Between stimulus and response defines the nature of a man
who has attained the height of self improvement. That is the FREEDOM TO CHOOSE.
What life are you living? Do you choose the things that happen
in your life or you leave life to chance? Viktor Frankl,
psychiatrist was imprisoned in the death camps of Nazi Germany where he
lost is entire family except his sister. He rose above this situation and even
went on to help others in prison discover who they were.He choose to be free because he was aware of the inbuilt powers he had to achieve freedom.
How have you being responding to circumstances around you? Most
especially in the present day increasingly deteriorating world of today. Were there
is too much to contend with.
Only you own the power to choose how you want to live your
life. Were you want to be, what you want to become, were you want live are
choices you can make.
You have the power to choose what to do with only one person
– YOU. The moment you discover this you begin to do things your way instead of
living other people’s script.
In living a life of choice four areas come into view:
SELF AWARENESS
Human’s are very unique because they have the power to be
aware of their surrounding and power to act based on their choice.
IMAGINATION
You have the creative power to visualize in your mind the
future you want to see. This power of visualization helps in living a life of
choice. The success you want to achieve, the changes you want to see around you
all lie in your imaginative power. You can see 50years ahead of where you are in
your mind if you activate your power of imagination.
CONSCIENCE
When you have a deep sense of right and wrong it goes a long
way to shape your perception about circumstances around you and how to move on
to become a super achiever with the choices you make.
INDEPENDENT WILL
With self awareness, imagination and a deep sense of right
and wrong (Conscience) you attain a height of having the freedom to choose in whatever circumstance you find yourself. As against complaining or allowing your situation to control your mood.
Go on, take a deep breath and set yourself in a
visualization mood. Imagine you are standing apart from yourself. Take a deep
observation of your surroundings. How well can you recognize the power of
choice in the things happening around you?
